Advanced 3D modeling with full drawing packs and .DXF files for precise manufacturing.
We create high-precision mechanical designs tailored to your production needs:
At Redman Engineering, we utilize Autodesk Fusion 360 as our primary tool for 3D modeling in custom machine design. This integrated CAD/CAM/CAE platform enables us to streamline the entire design process from concept to manufacturing. We start by creating 2D sketches that serve as the foundation for 3D features, using parametric modeling to ensure designs are flexible and easily adjustable based on client feedback. Assemblies are built to simulate real-world interactions, including joints and motion studies to verify functionality and identify potential issues early. Fusion's simulation capabilities allow us to perform stress analysis, thermal simulations, and generative design to optimize parts for strength, weight, and material usage.
Our designers include EHEDG Hygienic Design specialists, ensuring that when projects involve food processing, pharmaceutical, or other hygiene-critical applications, we adhere to the highest standards of hygienic engineering and design principles as defined by the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG). This expertise helps prevent contamination risks, facilitates effective cleaning, and supports compliance with food safety and quality requirements through risk-based hygienic design approaches.
Once the model is refined, we generate detailed engineering drawings with annotations, dimensions, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Finally, we export files in formats like .DXF for laser cutting, .STEP for collaboration, and CAM toolpaths for direct manufacturing, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production.
